Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady has confirmed that the game does indeed take place in the Arkham universe the studio established all those years ago. This is interesting because although Batman does not show up, it is assumed that the Harley Quinn seen in the reveal trailer is the same one we ran into in the Arkham games. In fact, according to Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill, Suicide Squad will continue certain plot threads from those games....

As part of last night’s Warhammer Skulls livestream, the studio revealed that renowned Warhammer author Dan Abnett will be co-writing the game. Abnett is a renowned Warhammer 40,000 author, responsible for the Gaunt’s Ghost series. Abnett also has a body of work in video games, including Alien: Isolation and Monolith’s Morder games. Revealed at the Xbox Indie Twitch showcase, We Are the Caretakers asks players to protect the Raun, a rhino-like species targeted by poachers, both human and alien alike. In the game, you will rally units of Caretakers onto real-time strategy maps with RPG turn-based combat in either the campaign or through procedurally generated Survival mode. You can also assemble the Cartkeers into squads based on the 20-plus job classes and more than 70 special abilities....

Our next look of BioWare’s Dragon Age 4 will be at next week’s The Game Awards. That’s according to the developer, who revealed that we’ll be seeing more of the eagerly-anticipated fantasy RPG at the show, which is taking place on December 10. This comes alongside BioWare revealing four short stories, as well as accompanying pieces of art, that were written by the franchise’s narrative team. These will also apparently give an idea about what the future of the Dragon Age series is going to be....

Anyone who played the original game knows that weapon durability was a big factor in combat. Weapons would have varying durability stats, depending on their quality, and often broke after extended use. You could repair them, but the game generally encouraged holding more than one weapon at a time so you can quickly switch between them. Producer Szymon Strauss explained that Techland is bringing back this mechanic for Dying Light 2, though the developer is hoping players will utilise the verticality and environmental traps more this time around....

In my restless dreams, I see that stupid, selfish parking hog, James Sunderland. Xbox is doing great right now. Xbox owners might be able to stream games from GeForce Now thanks to an update to the consoles’ browser. As reported by YouTuber Joe Chip (above) – and spotted by VGC – a new version of Microsoft’s Edge web browser for the firm’s Xbox One and Series X/S consoles that’s being tested in the Alpha Skip-Ahead group uses the Chromium engine. This allows the browser to support streaming platforms like Nvidia’s GeForce Now, as well as web apps like Discord....

Warhammer: Chaosbane will be available September 1-30. In this action RPG, you are “the last hope” for the Empire of Man.
