Atlus has announced a September 8 release date for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on the production schedule, the game will only include Japanese voice-overs at release, but a free English VO patch will be available after launch. Exact timing will be shared at a later date. Developed by Vanillaware, the team behind Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown, the game is a sci-fi mystery epic spanning thirteen intertwining stories....

The latest game from 2D animation specialists Vanillaware, 13 Sentinels is the result of a six-year development cycle that started with a planned Vita version that was eventually scrapped in favor of polishing up the eventual PS4 version. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim released in 2019 in Japan, and 2020 worldwide to glowing reviews for its innovative approach to storytelling and tactical combat. Word of mouth propelled it to gaining a following and the eventual 400,000 copies sold....

This is sure to be a disappointment to the Halo community, as while Halo 5 isn’t remembered as the best Halo by any stretch, it’s still the most recent one we’ve got, and the one much of the current competitive community is built on. It’s also galling that it’s the only entry not to get released on PC, with everything else covered with the Master Chief Collection. You can play it by yourself or team up with others in local wireless co-op and online for 1-4 players....

Microsoft announced a while back that Age of Empires 3 was due to get the same Definitive Edition treatment both of its predecessors enjoyed. The game’s closed beta actually kicked off earlier this year, but the company hasn’t shared any updates since. Now, according to Brazil’s Classificacao Indicativa rating board, the game may be on its way to release. The rating body recently classified Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition, as spotted by Resetera (I couldn’t find the listing on the site’s database)....

Playable solo or with three other players in co-op, Arcadegeddon sends you inside the game to defend it from a virus unleashed by a megacorporation trying to take over the arcade....
