Fall Guys is seemingly just getting started with its crossover costumes, which so far include just a few items inspired by other games. There’s the Half-Life stuff, the Team Fortress 2 Scout one and only a couple more. Though so many brands inside and outside the video game world would love to see costumes themed after their products in Fall Guys, the developer of the explosively successful game is seemingly taking it slow, starting out with modest takes on recognisable IPs....

This upgrade comes months after the PS5 enhanced edition was made available for purchase back in June. At the time, those who had bought a copy of the original release were able to upgrade their copy for free, but PlayStation Plus owners have been unable to do so with their copies. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber but didn’t download Square Enix’s highly acclaimed ARPG back when it was available in March, then you’ll also be unable to benefit from this upgrade....

The patent (via OPAttack) was initially filed back in November 2020 and was finally granted a year later on November 16, 2021. The actual, legal name of the patent ‘Cover for Electronic Device’, but if you click through you can see that it is – clearly – targeting the PlayStation 5 hardware. What isn’t clear from the documentation is whether on not these will actually be removable faceplates, or rather skins you can apply to existing hardware....

According to a report on French outlet PlayerOne.tv, retailer Micromania will start taking pre-orders for PS5 tomorrow, September 17. The price of the console is listed at €499 for the standard model, and €399 for the disc-less version. Alongside the pre-order and price report, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Destruction All-Stars, Demon’s Souls Remake, and Sackboy Adventures will also be made available for pre-order tomorrow as well. While the retailer has denied the information, the outlet has said it trusts the source as the information seems to have come from an employee of one of the stores....

Update: Google announced today during its Stadia Connect that PUBG and Octopath Traveler are both now available through the service. The news comes as no surprise considering both games were outed for the service by the ESRB. For PUBG, those who sign up for Stadia Pro will receive the Pioneer Edition, which can be upgraded to the Chicken Dinner Edition. You can also acquire the base game. Google is currently offering Stadia Pro free for two months, and during this time it has waived fees for Pro users....

As a new playable character, Rayman will join forces with Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario. In addition to this post-launch announcement, a gameplay video for the game’s main adventure provided a first look at a new planet and boss. You can check it out below. The DLC will see the friends fighting to save the planet Terra Flora from the mysterious villain, Cursa. To do so, they will need to take down Rabbid enemies and participate in a boss battle against a massive Wiggler infected by Cursa’s influence....

Players in specialist roles this week can earn a 40% boost this week in Red Dead Online. Roles such as Trader, Collector, Bounty Hunter, and Moonshiner will earn the boost in general XP and role XP. Here’s the rundown: Moonshiner: 40% XP & Role XP boost on all Sales, Moonshine Story and Bootlegger Missions Bounty Hunter: 40% XP & Role XP boost on Bounty Hunter Missions, including Legendary Bounties Trader: 40% XP & Role XP boost on Sales and Resupply Missions, as well as making Stew in your camp Collector: 40% XP & Role XP boost on sales of complete Collection sets...

Earlier today, Rockstar released a new patch for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. It clocks in at 1.30GB, and comes a month after the most recent update. Luckily, the developer put out the official patch notes alongside today’s release. There are no amazing new features to get excited about; the notes are entirely about fixes to miscellaneous bugs. The one that bears highlighting is a fix to a memory leak when running the game in DirectX 12, which would gradually cause all available RAM to be used up and crash the game....

If you’re short on supplies, use this time to pick around the hospital and unlock all the lockers that Carlos couldn’t access, since he doesn’t have a lockpick. You also need to make sure you get the magnum because it makes the upcoming section so much easier. Before you head out, make sure you keep the grenade launcher on you, since it’s handy for the hunters. There’s some mag ammo in some of the lockboxes so it’s worth cleaning them out - just check your map and grab what you missed....

Rocket League developer Psyonix has finally announced the release date for Season 4 of Rocket League. The new Season is due to go live on August 11 (tomorrow). In terms of the Rocket League Season 4 start time, we tend to see it go live around 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST. That’s just a rough guide, though. As has beome standard for the game since it adopted the Seasonal cadence that many other games have, we’ll get a whole new Rocket Pass and a Rocket Pass Premium to work our way through once the update is live....

Today (May 15) is the 10-year anniversary of the third-person shooter, and to celebrate that, a special edition of the game’s original soundtrack is being released later this year. This new edition of the soundtrack will feature the tracks included in the original game, but will also debut previously unreleased tracks too. A release date hasn’t been set in stone, but it will be available digitally. And for the gamer who likes to buy vinyl soundtracks but doesn’t necessarily have a record player, there’s a limited-edition vinyl coming too....

That’s according to sources speaking with Try Hard’s Tom Henderson, stating that a livestream full of trailers, gameplay, developer commentary, and a release date will drop the week of July 4 (thanks, resetera). The stream will also reportedly confirm platforms, which if a game rating out of Brazil is corrent, Skull and Bones will be released for PC, PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X/S. Last we heard, Ubisoft had launched an Insider Program for the game which would allow participants to play current builds while providing real data and feedback....

In a tweet, Sakurai noted that the character is going to be an interesting one for gaming fans, no matter their interest in Smash Bros. specifically. “In just one day, the last fighter of Smash Bros. Ultimate will be announced,” he said. “Even if you don’t play the game, if you’re interested in gaming I’d like to recommend you watch it.” In a follow-up tweet, he added: “The new fighter may be a character that you don’t know or different from what you expected....

SEGA’s return to the rhythm action series will feature a playlist that incldes 40 hits from various genres. There will be a wide variety of mini-games and challenges included, some really spiffy costumes and accessories to unlock, and it includes an online mode, and one of the featrures is an eight-player World Party mode. Origially released in arcades in 1999, and for the Dreamcast in 2000, a port for the Wii was developed by Gearbox Software and Escalation Studios and released in 2008....

A UK-based scalping group has boasted about scoring another 2,000 PlayStation 5 consoles. As spotted by The Gamer, the group – known as Carnage – took to Twitter to say that it had secured 2,000 PS5s from UK retailer GAME. No doubt by boasting about this fact on social media, GAME is probably looking into these sales and could possibly cancel orders it thinks are done by scalpers. The Twitter account is currently private, but there’s no indication whether this is a new development....

Some of these issues manifested in misleading attachment descriptions, where they would do the opposite of what is stated. Other cases saw certain attachments being ineffective in performing the function they’re supposed to. DICE eventually corrected a few of those mistakes in subsequent patches, but it looks like the problem has not been entirely fixed. As picked up by Reddit user Zodhr, weapon recoil in Battlefield 2042 appears to be influenced by sight and scope selection somehow....

As far as content goes, the studio is keeping things under wraps until November 18, when it will host a live stream revealing what to expect. The developers will also announce the live results of the current decision point Adventure, Return of the Damned. The decision made by players will decide the fates of both Flameheart and Pendragon. Did folks side with Belle to stop Flameheart from coming back? Or did they choose to go with Servant of the Flame, which will see Flameheart return as the next antagonist?...

After being teased last week, it seems that we’re going to learn more about the new Shadow Warrior game this weekend. You can watch the official teaser trailer below to bring you up to speed prior to the gameplay reveal this Saturday. “Shadow Warrior 3 marks the triumphant return of fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and launches the offbeat first-person shooter series to the next level,” reads an official press release tied to the announcement....

Shenmue: The Animation’s first season will comprise of 13 episodes, and will focus on retelling the story of Ryo Hazuki and his mission to hunt down his father’s murderer. Japanese studio Telecom Animation Film has been signed on to handle the production of the series, and that’s quite encouraging: the studio has previously worked on Lupin III and another Crunchyroll original, Tower of God, both of which are animated superbly....
