Oddworld Inhabitants’ long-in-development Oddworld: Soulstorm, which reemerged back in June with a new PS5 trailer, has been pushed back to the spring of next year. The good news is that we got a fresh look at the game in a new trailer released at The Game Awards 2020 overnight. Though the trailer itself is brief, it was followed up by a message from creator Lorne Lanning, in which he explained that the extra time was needed to bring the game up to the studio’s high standards....

As spotted by Reddit user FidgetSpinnetMan, Lucio’s Snow Fox skin is causing some problems, for the Lucio players anyway (thanks, PCGamesN). This particular skin has an icy effect to it, and FidgetSpinnetMan has found that this effect currently appears to be visible through walls, even when there’s a large amount of distance between the two players. “Bug report: I was playing a game and I noticed that the enemy Lucio was visible through the walls,” wrote FidgetSpinnetMan in the post on the Overwatch subreddit....

Konami has announced that it’s paring back the offering in this year’s Pro Evolution Soccer game, PES 2021, as a result of focusing its efforts on developing a next-gen version of the football series. PES 2021 will instead take the form of the more streamlined Season Update version, which is essentially a roster update with minor improvements to last year’s game, similar to FIFA’s Legacy Editions on Switch. Folks roaming the nuclear wasteland in Fallout 76 can now store more items in their stash thanks to a new update. Developer Bethesda rolled out The Inventory Update yesterday (January 26), enabling people to store up to 1,200lbs of goodies in their player stash. That’s a 50% increase. In a video, the firm said that it hoped this would “assist you in your inventory management needs.” Meanwhile, Bethesda has made some user interface improvements to the Pip-Boy, specifically splitting player inventory into three tabs: New, Armour and Food/Drinks....

EA Sports outlined the upgrades in a private livestream and a post on the PlayStation Blog. Earlier today (August 29), PlayStation announced that it is acquiring mobile game developer Savage Game Studios. If you haven’t heard of it before, that might be because it hasn’t actually released a game yet, though its co-founders do include former Zynga, Rovio, and Insomniac staff, so there’s plenty of experience in the industry at the very least. On top of that, PlayStation also announced that Savage Game Studios is joining the newly created PlayStation Studios Mobile Division, as sure a sign as any that the company wants to head into the mobile market....

Sony announced the rollout will occur over the next several weeks across Europe, US, Canada, and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available. The company announced back in 2019 it planned to eventually offer 1080p resolution streaming. Right now as it stands, the service only supports 720p resolution. On the back of the reception that the Katy Perry and Pokemon collaboration received when it was announced in mid-January, The Pokemon Company has now announced that American rapper and songwriter Post Malone will be hosting a virtual concert.
