Settlers, Raiders and various other groups have reached Appalachia in Fallout 76 and for the first time, you’ll be able to recruit allies to your camp. You’ll only be able to have one ally present in your camp at a time, though - this isn’t a big settlement building excursion like in Fallout 4. Alongside some potential romantic leads, you’ll be able to interact with various NPCs who’ll offer you daily quests and unique dialogue....

This is according to Square’s Tetsuya Nomura, who said to expect the news next month. “Next month, we’re planning to publish information related to [Final Fantasy] 7’s 25th anniversary,” said Nomura stated during a promotional stream for for the mobile-based spin-off, The First Soldier. Whether the game will eventually come to Steam is not known at this time. Intergrade is the enhanced version of the Remake, and it was released on PS5 earlier this year. This version includes updated graphics and a new chapter called Intermission starring Yuffie Kisaragi. In the chapter, Yuffie and her partner Sonon Kusakabe are on a dangerous mission to infiltrate Midgar and steal the Shinra Electric Power Company’s most powerful materia....

Ghostwire Tokyo is Shinji Mikami’s next project, revealed by Bethesda at E3 last year. The game is coming to PC and PS5 in 2021. Today, during the PS5 games showcase, we got a first look at gameplay. This is a first-person action game where you wield magic powers. As the name suggests, the story takes place in Tokyo, only it’s a dark dystopian future where most of the city’s population has disappeared....

Frontier Developments will test Fleet Carriers in Elite Dangerous with two open betas, the first of which will be open to PC players on April 7. The second beta will include PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players and will take place in May. The long-awaited Fleet Carriers will cost 5,000,000,000 credits, are individually owned, and contain 16 landing pads of varying sizes for other players to dock their starships in, and they feature a jump range of 500 light-years....

Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 has been extended until February 2020, so there are brand new Overtime Challenges to complete to tide you over until then. In terms of rewards, you’ll be able to unlock new Remedy vs Toxin skins, the Medaxe Pickaxe and a new style for the Antidote backbling. Fortnite’s second season is expected to begin in the first week or so of February but until then, there’s a bunch of new Overtime Challenges to keep you busy. In this challenge, you’re on the lookout for mountain base camps that can be found all over the map. These areas might get a little busy, so try to land there first or grab a weapon or two before you head out....

To complete this challenge, you’ll need to collect five floating rings hidden around Weeping Woods. These rings can be found atop five different trees in the southeast of the area, so you won’t need to traverse the entire woods looking for them. You’ll need to chop down a fair bit of wood to keep building stairs for this challenge, so be on the lookout for opponents who might snipe you when you’re climbing....

Fortnite’s Season 4 in Chapter 2 kicks off today across all platforms, except those run by Apple. Given the two companies’ current dispute, Apple decided to pull Fortnite off the App Store earlier this month. Although Epic tried to stop Apple from doing this before a verdict in the main lawsuit has been reached, it wasn’t successful. As a result, the developer explained in an updated blog post that it simply won’t be able to update the iOS and Mac versions of Fortnite to version v14....

Following the big Forza Horizon 5 reveal at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, Playground Games has offered a few more details about what we can expect from the game. PC-specific options were not provided, with Playground instead promising to share more over the coming months. Presumably, you can expect similar options to Forza Horizon 4. As revealed during the showcase, Forza Horizon 5 supports ray tracing, but only in Forzavista - the mode that lets you view a car and poke around....

Skrollcat Studio has shown us a little bit more of its upcoming puzzle-platformer, Hoa. In a seven-minute video given to IGN, the co-founder and art director at Skrollcat Son Tra showed off The Forest area, which apparently was the first bit of the game that the studio created. Hoa boasts a beautifully animated aesthetic that looks to be inspired by anime icon Studio Ghibli. In the demo, the player starts off by making friends with beetles which allows them to reach places they otherwise wouldn’t be able to, as well as what looks like a caterpillar called Bouncy who – as their name suggests – lets you bounce off their backs to higher areas....
