The April Fool’s Shipment playlist has returned to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as part of an update overnight. That should be fun. Along with Shipment 10v10, Infinity Ward also added 3v3 Gunfight where you will be battling it out with only knives. For Warzone, helicopters have made a return after they were pulled this week due to an exploit where a full squad glitches under the map in their helicopter, allowing them to hit all players above ground....

A new free access Modern Warfare multiplayer weekend is kicking off later today for Call of Duty: Warzone players who do not own the full game. It starts at 10am PT, 1pm ET, 6pm UK and goes on until Sunday. As part of the free weekend, you’ll find a moshpit playlist featuring five of the game’s maps. The list includes staples Shoot House and Shipment, as well as Season 5’s new Suldal Harbor and Petrov Oil Rig maps....

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6, Farah and Nikolai “bring the fight underground,” as you can see in the trailer. They will be re-entering the fight to help Captain Price with the ongoing conflict following the breakdown of the Armistice. Farah is the founder and Commander of the Urzikstani Liberation Force, and Nikolai is the leader of the Chimera, a PMC within the Allegiance. Both will be playable operators in Season 6....

The new high-resolution texture pack is available for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. This is the third pack to be made available to players, as noted by VGC. It is around 8.4GB for PS4 Pro and PS5. It is probably around the same size on Xbox Series X, but the size for the console wasn’t revealed as of press time. According to the pack description, it “supports the most detailed textures for weapons and Operators” in Modern Warfare and Warzone....

Four of the upcoming tournaments in the Capcom Pro Tour 2020 competition have been cancelled as a result of the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The Brussels Challenge, Norcal Regionals, April Annihilation, and Taipei Major are being removed from the schedule. This also means that each event’s ranking points are getting removed from the Capcom Tour pool this season. In other words, any points competitors could claim at those events are not being moved to any other event....

If you’re eager to see more of the long-anticipated action-RPG title, Biomutant, today is your lucky day: the game that has typically defied expectation and show off very little of its gameplay has given us a proper combat trailer. In the video, you can see the aerial-focused combat, complete with stylish moves and over-the-top animations. It’s cute, and more than anything it’s nice to see that a game that’s been in the works for so long is finally coming together....

From the creators of Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash is a 3D third-person action platformer filled with sunken cities, vast water shelves, dangerous lava zones, and more. In it, you take on the role of a Voidrunner named Rei who traverses through biomes in hopes of saving her homeworld from a black hole that swallows entire worlds. Let’s get something out of the way. I am not good at online games. Of any sort, really. Whether it’s Call of Duty, FIFA, or Mario Kart, I lose and I lose badly. In fact, the only time in my entire life I can remember being good at an online game is for a brief period of time when Football Manager Online existed and life was better. Oh, the good old days....

Chocobo GP is a great kart racer. Genuinely. It’s not Mario Kart, obviously, but I’d definitely pop its core mechanics and feel into that top tier of kart racer alongside things like Sega & Sonic All-Stars Racing and Crash Nitro Kart. But… for some reason, this game is, like, a mobile game? I need to be clear here. Chocobo GP is a more or less full-priced game. It’s on the ‘budget’ end of modern pricing at $50/£40, but I consider that a full game....

The studio has signed an agreement with publisher 505 Games to co-develop and co-publish Control 2, formerly known as Codename Heron. Announced in June 2021 and currently in the concept stage, Control 2’s initial development budget amounts to €50 million ($51.5 million) and Remedy will retain the ownership of the game’s intellectual property. The development, marketing, post-launch investments, as well as future net revenues generated by the game, will be equally split between 505 Games and Remedy....

The news comes from Reddit, where a user named Moraez shared details garnered from a range of podcasts hosted by German website GameStar. The podcasts in question are in German and only premium GameStar subscribers are permitted access to them, but Moraez took the initiative to translate some of the most important talking points and post a summary to Reddit. One of the many details in Moraez’ post has to do with the Cyberpunk 2077 melee system, which a lot of fans already saw during the first Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo....

As you travel around Europa and encounter more challenging Fallen enemies, you might find some Riis-Reborn Key Codes. Like many collectables in Destiny 2, it’s not obvious what you do with them - or who you get them from. You won’t find them from just any yellow-bar Fallen enemies: you’ll need to look for an enemy called Technorunner who appears during storms in the Eventine Ruins area. You’ll find Technorunner hiding in buildings, so keep your eyes peeled....

In a post on Xbox Wire, the tech giant said that its Game Reliability Engineering and Gaming Accessibility teams had worked together to create an initiative to test how accessible a project is. This follows Microsoft creating Xbox Accessibility Guidelines in early 2019 ahead of them being rolled out in January 2020. These are “a comprehensive set of best practices” to make video games more accessible. Developers who submit their game to this testing will receive feedback about potential issues, including how they can be reproduced, screenshots and further information to help them understand why this part of their project might be difficult for people with disabilities....

The reason has to do with the two countries’ regulations about loot boxes. The news was first reported by Dutch site Tweakers, which received a comment from an Activision Blizzard Benelux communication manager confirming that players in both countries won’t get to play along with everybody else this Thursday. Sony actually showed off the PS5 console design today. Alongside revealing a number of new peripherals, such as the HD Camera, Media Remote, the Pulse 3D wireless headset, and the DualSense Charging Station, the platform holder also announced a disc-less, digital only edition of PS5.
