As part of an earnings call for the full year 2019, CD Projekt gave an update on its diversity efforts for the workforce, and revealed the nationality and age split among its workers. By the end of 2019, CDP had 1,044 employees (up 18% YoY). This includes CD Projekt Red, GOG and all other studios owned by the Polish company. 21% of all staff are foreigners, who come from 44 different countries....

Halo developer 343 Industries has said it would be a lot of work to add 4 player co-op to the first two entries in the series. In an update on Halo Waypoint, community support and engagement coordinator Tyler “Postums” Davis and senior software engineer Sean “Scoops” Cooper answered a question from the community about whether it was possible to bring four-player co-op to the campaigns of Halo 1 and 2 in The Master Chief Collection....

Microsoft’s 343 Industries studio has said that it will be giving updates about Halo Infinite every month. In a post on Reddit, Brian “ske7ch343” Jarrard said that the developer would be providing more regular information about the upcoming sci-fi shooter, with the first of these updates coming in just a few days. “We’re committed to at least monthly high-level updates and the next ‘Inside Infinite’ is coming out this week,” Jarrard wrote....

With Street Fighter 5, there’s some surprisingly decent results, like this attempt to render a real-life Chun-Li: But there’s also incredible outcomes like that previously-mentioned attempt to recreate Zangief: The iconic live-action version is of course an allegedly coked-up Jean-Claude Van Damme – but this algorithm delivers a version that doesn’t look anything like the Muscles from Brussels: SF5 newcomer Rashid, however, actually comes out pretty well like a real person who actually looks like their in-game counterpart: The way these renders work in a broad sense is that the features it has are lifted from a huge database of real-life photos which the AI has learned from....
