GfK has revealed the list of top-sellers at UK retail in 2019. Physical sales of games continued to drop in the country, having declined by 19.8% in 2019. FIFA 20 came in at the very top, with 1.5 million physical copies sold, a drop from FIFA 19’s 1.8 million the year before. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sold 1.92 million, a decent boost over Black Ops 4’s 1.72 million. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe landed at number three, selling 465,062 units, a slight increase over its 2018 haul....

According to a tweet from Frogwares, the version of The Sinking City up for sale on Steam was “not created” by the team. The studio has not published any additional updates on the matter, but it likely has to do with a dispute between the developer and the game’s publisher Nacon, formerly Big Ben Interactive (thanks, GI.biz). Back in 2020, the studio pulled the game from the marketplace and terminated its contract with Nacon due to claims of being owed money by the publisher for meeting milestones, resulting in Nacon owning Frogwares close to €1 million in royalties....

GDC will take place over three days at the Moscone Center August 4-6. Organizers have dubbed the conference GDC Summer and registration will be opening soon. The annual conference held in San Francisco was slated for the week of March 16, but organizers postponed it back in February. A reason for the postponement was not provided, but many companies such as Activision Blizzard, Microsoft, Epic Games, and Sony announced before the show was postponed there wouldn’t be company representatives at GDC due to COVID-19 concerns....

The patch notes were shared on the official Sucker Punch blog. The first change listed is a brand new difficulty mode, Lethal, which makes both enemies and Jin more deadly. It also makes enemies more aggressive and Jin easier to detect, meaning that it begets a lot more head-to-head combat than other difficulties, rendering the entire Ghost skill tree far less effective. So, if you want to fight to the code upheld by your uncle, Lord Shimura, then Lethal difficulty could be for you....
