Starting Tuesday, September 7, PlayStation Now will add Tekken 7, Final Fantasy 7, Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Definitive Edition, Windbound, Moonlighter, and Killing Floor 2. Pokemon Sword and Shield Mythical Pokemon Zarude’s signature move was revealed today, and it’s called Jungle Healing. Once Zarude reaches Level 90, it can learn this unique move. In this Grass-type status move, the Pokemon wraps its vines around trees, absorbs their energy, and then releases that energy combined with its own. Healing power will then “radiate around the area” and heals both Zarude and its ally Pokemon. This restores their HP and cures them of any status conditions....

Next week, on Thursday, June 4, Sony will finally reveal PlayStation 5 games. The livestream will kick off at 1pm PT, 4pm ET, 9pm BST on the day. The latest entry in the PixelJunk series is launching next week, but only on Google Stadia. PixelJunk Raiders was announced via a trailer on the official Stadia YouTube channel and is coming only to Google’s platform on March 1. That’s next Monday. For the second year running, Bethesda has announced that QuakeCon, its celebration of id Software and its games, will be held entirely online this year. Though last year the company adopted the QuakeCon at Home slogan, Bethesda is dropping that this year for a more standard branding. QuakeCon 2021 takes place August 19-21. “We can’t wait to get back to Dallas with our QuakeCon family, but for the continued safety of our staff, the volunteers, and the community, this year’s QuakeCon will once again be a digital-only event,” the official QuakeCon Twitter account said today....

After a pretty conspicuous tease yesterday, Microsoft has officially confirmed that Ubisoft’s multiplayer shooter will be arriving on Xbox Game Pass on October 22. This highly competitive game, which has a thriving esports scene, is set to arrive on the subscription service next week – and it’ll be playable on both Xbox One and Android when it lands… though trying to stay alive and operate on a level playing field on your phone may not be the smartest idea in the world....

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was announced for the PS5 in June of this year. The title showed off many of the PlayStation 5’s features in the form of ray-traced reflections on Clank’s character model, as well as the hardware’s fast loading times thanks to the console’s new SSD. Given that quickly moving from world to another thanks to improved loading times seems pretty integral to the experience, it seems unlikely in retrospect that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was ever coming to PlayStation 4....

Although expected, the Resident Evil: Village reveal at the PS5 event was one of the show’s highlights. The trailer featured snippets of gameplay and story, but left us with more questions than answers. Following the game’s reveal, Capcom released a followup video that touches on some of the key elements of the original trailer, and unveil some fresh details. Village producers Tsuyoshi Kanda and Peter Fabiano kick things off by explaining that although this is indeed Resident Evil 8, the team decided to go with the simple Village subtitle....

No other platforms have been announced for the game at the time of writing, so for the time being it looks like it’ll be an Oculus Quest 2 exclusive. The game was announced during April’s Resident Evil Showcase, where it was revealed that the the game has been reimagined for virtual reality by Armature, the developers behind Recore (remember that?), Capcom and Oculus. The gigantic villain from the upcoming horror game is over 2.9m tall, according to Capcom itself, and has driven the internet into something of a frenzy. A cursory Google search will show you she’s already prompted quite the ‘fan art’ outpouring.
