Devolverland Expo, developed by Flying Wild Hog, is a free simulator where you are tasked with breaking into an abandoned convention center. After over two years and 30 seasons, Fable Fortune will be pulled offline on March 4, according to the developers. To prepare for the closure, the in-game store has been disabled, which means you can no longer purchase card packs. If you have any outstanding card packs sitting in your inventory, these can be opened until the game closes down (thanks, Gamasutra). According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Discord won’t be selling, even though there were multiple offers for the company, including one reportedly from Microsoft. Sources have told the Wall Street Journal the company is discussing a “potential initial public offering” down the line. But, according to the report, talks with Microsoft could resume in the future. The WSJ reports that the company “fielded interest from at least three companies about a deal,” but that the service is performing well and that the company plans to remain independent for the foreseeable future....

Nvidia has today announced that more games are adding support for DLSS sometime this month. The new titles join the recently released Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, for a total of nine arrivals in May, and 50 overall. These games are No Man’s Sky, Everspace 2, Amid Evil, Aron’s Adventure, Redout: Space Assault, Scavengers, and Wrench. Via Business Insider, Carmack’s decision to leave the company was announced in an internal memo, which the publication describes as “scathing.” Reportedly, the memo was published to an internal workplace forum at Meta, with Carmack criticising Meta’s augmented and virtual reality efforts. Carmack’s memo starts by saying, “This is the end of my decade in VR. I have mixed feelings.” He continues by stating that the Quest 2 is almost exactly what he wanted to see from the beginning, however, efficiency is an issue for Meta....
Doom Eternal, the anticipated sequel to the 2016 reboot, is a few short days away. Eternal builds on the ideas set by its predecessor in almost every way. The Doom Slayer is more mobile thanks to the ability to dash and the use of a grappling hook, which will come in handy in some of Eternal’s light platforming sections, but offer an even bigger advantage in combat. The world and story are better emphasised this time around....
BioWare has debuted a new behind-the-scenes look at Dragon Age 4 today as part of The Game Awards 2020 show. Similar to the most recent reveal, which dropped back in August at Opening Night Live, today’s footage also features interviews with developers and some early details about the team’s goals with the game. Announced during the Xbox Showcase pre-show, Dragon Quest 11 S Definitive Edition will be the first game in the series to arrive on Xbox. It is also coming to PC and PS4. This is the definitive version of Dragon Quest 11, and the game will arrive on the platforms on December 4. It will include 16-bit mode and all content released for the title which originally hit Switch.
On PlayStation and Xbox, disconnects in co-op have been addressed as promised, also in co-op, AI is no longer immortal and players will no longer become caught in a deathloop after a co-op session. Various balance improvements were made, a rare issue where peers could not see the dialog choices in co-op mode was fixed, you should no longer encounter infinite load screens, and an issue with selling valuable to a vendor has been addressed....
The two companies announced today (October 31) that they have come together for a long-term deal to “develop at least three new action games that will be available for consoles and PC.” Each of the games will feature original stories in the Marvel universe, the first being the recently announced Iron Man title that’s in the works from Motive Studio, the team behind the upcoming Dead Space remake. No details have been provided on what the other games will be about, the only thing confirmed being that they are all action games....
