The Community Board is Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s way of showing how the Z Fighters’ support for each other brings out their best in battle - letting you improve your party’s abilities with powerful buffs when you combine the right Spirit Emblems. As you progress through Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s story, you are rewarded with more Spirit Emblems. However, you can also get more by completing certain substories. Substory Spirit Emblems tend to bring in characters from the OG Dragon Ball manga and anime, like the Pilaf Gang, Master Shen’s Crane School, and Launch.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Spirit Emblems
Each Spirit Emblem in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has a proficiency rating in each of the 7 communities. More communities unlock over time, but you’ll have them all by the time you reach the Namek arc. They are:
Z Warrior (Led by Goku, improves battle skills) Cooking (Led by Chi Chi, improves effects of meals) Training (Led by King Kai, raises EXP earned from battle) Development (Led by Bulma, improves building and machine skills) Gods (Led by Mr Popo, raises amount of items gained from battle) Adult (Led by Master Roshi, improves shop prices) Adventure (Led by Yajirobe, improves recovery items, raises HP and Ki)
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Spirit Emblem bonuses
To get the most out of each Spirit Emblem, you need to pair them with similar characters to activate bonuses. These bonuses increase both Spirit Emblems’ proficiency in whatever board they’re on. You can tactically place Spirit Emblems on a community board to have as many bonuses active as possible. Like in the screenshot below where we’ve linked 7 different bonuses at once.
Increasing Spirit Emblem proficiency
To make Spirit Emblems more powerful, you need to give them Gifts. This represents the increasing bond between characters, and not only increases their community proficiency, but gets you powerful gifts at the same time. Completing quests will give you gift items like Silk Aprons, which increases Cooking proficiency and friendship. Prioritise raising your community leaders to max level since you can’t move them.
