Some Switch users have reported problems with Joy-Con drift since the console launched in 2017, and Nintendo’s president has now apologized for the issue. “Regarding the Joy-Con, we apologize for any trouble caused to our customers,” said Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa during Nintendo’s 80th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (via Kotaku). “We are continuing to aim to improve our products, but as the Joy-Con is the subject of a class-action lawsuit in the United States and this is still a pending issue, we would it like to refrain from responding about any specific actions.” Back in July of last year, the law office of Chimicles, Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith filed a class-action lawsuit against Nintendo over the Joy-Con issue. The issue stems from control sticks going off-center after extended use, making the stick drift slightly during play. For some players, it’s a major problem.
