Barone revealed on Twitter yesterday that two new games are in the pipeline, with one being set in the Stardew Valley universe, though it won’t be a farming game. The other nameless title is like to “tie into Stardew Valley in some way”, though is smaller in scope. Despite a wave of excitement from fans, Barone has asked players not to get too hyped up about any upcoming titles and wants to take the time to “make whatever game comes naturally to me without too much pressure or expectation.” To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Manage cookie settings — ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) February 11, 2020 Barone is still working on Stardew Valley updates, with the 1.4.5 update releasing yesterday for PC players. As a solo developer, it could be a long wait before we get any more information about these two games plus any other ideas Barone has been working on. He revealed to IGN that both projects are “single-player, top-down 2D games with pixel art styles”, meaning that it’ll be a familiar layout for Stardew Valley players. The untitled game in the Stardew Valley universe will have 32x32 pixel tiles and will have twice the detail of Stardew Valley, as well as better music, narrative and sound design. The second title is smaller in scope, so we’re likely to see it first. Stardew Valley has sold over 10 million copies worldwide to date and a new end-game mystery involving Stardew Valley’s ever-mysterious abandoned building was added at the end of 2019.
